The Guest Book is a product that allows PT Timah Tbk to record the details of guests who visits the company area.

PT Timah Tbk is an Indonesian company engaged in the mining or exploration of tin. The company was the world’s largest tin producer in 2008. In order to log every guest who visits the company with the aim of tightening security, PT Timah Tbk need an application to record each guest and their purpose when visiting the company.

Problem Statements
When a company’s area is visited by guests, the company needs to keep complete and detailed records then save guests data in real time. The goal is to maintain security within the company area.

How we offer the solution?
We have provided a solution that creates only 3 pages that the user must pass to gain access. By providing a form that is easy to understand and fill in, the user will not take long to fill out the form.
It’s a win-win solution for companies that need complete guest data and for users to be more comfortable filling out the form with the experience we made.

Design Process
We started by creating user stories for these pages and defining the most common use cases. We felt that it was essential to understand exactly what Timah’s guest behaviors were.
I spent time using findings from user research to design better information architecture. We decided that users should be able to fill out forms easily and quickly. Following completion of the form, the user must entrust the identity card to the security department for security purposes when entering the company area.
